How to check part availability

This will provide a step-by-step guide on how to check part availability.

  1. The customer sends us a request to check the availability of a part by email or phone call
  2. If the customer does not provide a part number CS will need to look up the correct part number 
  3. Enter the correct part number in the catalog number field on the PRICEAVAIL screen
  4. Check PA line in locations field 
  5. If there is no inventory listed on hand, click the Part Info button 
  6. Once the PARTINFO screen opens check Mrp Order Code: Look for BLOW THROUGH
  7. If BLOW THROUGH is listed in this field then the part is available. If this field shows 
    anything else than the part is out of stock 
  8. Click PARTLOC tab 
  9. Click PARTLOC (ALL CONTRACTS) 
  10. look for any Onhand Qty from any contracts 
  11. Once Inventory is determined send email to customer
