Changing a quote into an order.
This will show you how to change a part or vehicle quote into an order.
When a customer requests that their quote be processed into an order there are several steps that need to be taken. Please be sure to make sure these steps are followed before processing the order.
The first step is to check the PO the customer sends in against the quote that was sent to them.
If there are no differences then you can proceed to the rest of the instructions. If there are any differences you will need to discuss them with the customer.
Bring up the QOM.
Enter the quote number into the "Search by Quote ID" field. Click search.
Find the correct location and contact.
Once you locate the correct contact you will need to locate the quote in question.
Click the "view" button to bring the quote up in the QOM.
Select or enter the correct shipping address based on the PO.
Enter the PO number provided in the "dealer PO#" field.
Change the ship via for the order to BESTWAY TRUCK
Click the "submit order" button.
Bring up the order in CUSORD.
Attach the PO document and quote to the order in CUSORD.
Send the customer and the sales rep an order confirmation email.
